o Assumes you’re buying a blank, aluminum chassis o “Chassis” and “enclosure” are synonymous o Blank: No holes drilled o Not fabricating: Requires a pan brake for clean bends, and quality welding or riveting. o Not terribly expensive; Hammond 1444 series, such as the 1444-1273 (12x7x3 inches) which, as of of this document’s last review, ranges from about $25.00 to $40.00 depending on the vendor and quantity. o Steel is definitely stronger, but harder to work with, plus not as good of a conductor thus warranting a closed ground/ground bus to earth ground rather than the chassis itself (although not what amp mfrs do).
